Coburn's minstrels delighted a large audience at the opera house Thursday night These mins trels have visited Lumberton be fore but the performance was entirely new.- There was not a dull moment from the opening overture to the drop of the cur tain on the final act, the negro frace bv Charley Gano, The Mysterious Hotel " This same Charley Gano is the bright partic ular star' among the comedians with this show, and every stunt he did convulsed the audience with laughter. He is killingly funny and in "The Mysterious Hotel" stunt he made the sides of the audience ache with laugh ter. He also sang a couple of songs that were rich, and when he launched out into descriptive speech he was simply the limit Gano would be a star in any minstrel bunch he might stack up against and he was not stack ed up with any bunch of slouches in this show. They were all good. Justin J. McCarthy, who sang "Carissima" and also figured in the excellent quartette singing, has one of the best voices ever heard in the local opera house.
