In an interesting letter from this city, Mrs. S. C. Burton writes as follows : "I think it is my duty to tell you what your medicine, Cardui, like an adder." But High Point is the woman's tonic, has done for me. I was down sick with womanly trouble, and my mother advised several different treatments, but they didn't seem to do me any good. I lingered along for three or four months, and for three weeks, I was in bed, so sick I couldn't bear for any one to walk across the floor. My husband advised me to try Cardui, the woman's tonic. I have taken two bottles of Cardui, am feeling fine, gained 15 pounds and do all of my housework. Friends hardly know me, 1 am so well." If you suffer from any of the ailments so common to women, don't allow the trouble to become chronic. Begin taking Cardui to-day. It is purely vegetable, its ingredients acting in a gentle, natural way on the weakened womanly constitu tion. You tun no risk in trying Cardui. It has been helping weak women back to health and strength for more than 50 years. It will help you. At all dealers. Some Twelve or Sixty Snakes Found Hanging on a Thorn Bush Suicide or What? High Point Cor., Charlotte Observer. In the outset it may as well be ad mitted that this is "some" snake sto- J ry. If High Point were as wet as aforetime the public would have a just and unquestioned right to ques tion the veracity of the following and to attribute it to the reporter's having reached that point, where it stingeth dry moreover, the janitor has 12 of the snakes to offer as evidence. Here then, take an earful: In the eastern suburbs of High Point is the park school; in the yard are several thorn bushes; and when the janitor drew iiear lunto these bushes this morning about 60 snakes (he says) were suspended thereupon. Pendant snakes being a rareity even in High Point, the janitor was more curious than fearful, so he made careful investigation.
