Town Will Sell Bonds This Afternoon The board of town commissioners! will sell this afternoon at 5 o'clock' bonds in the sum of $30,000 for light; and water 'improvement. There was work in the third de gree by Lumberton's crack team and a royal banquet. Many visiting Masons were heard to remark that they had never been more royally entertained. It was a great time. These meetings are held annually and at each meeting all Masons in the county are invited. They are always looked forward to with in terest, not onlv by local Masons, but by others in all parts of the county. Parson Shot at Chicken Thief It 'Is said that a certain preacher who lives about town took three shots at somebody who was pranking about his hen house Monday night. It has not been learned whether or not any of the shots took effect. It has not been many months since every chick en the preacher had 21 hens and rooster were stolen.
