Vines of Charlotte First Baptist church arrived this morning una wm preacn tnis afternoon at. 4 o'clock and tonight at 8:15. After today all day-time services will be at 10 o'clock in the mornine. Dr. vines is expected to remain for about two weeks. He is one of the most gifted and accomplished ministers in the South, and has served important pastorates, including such churches as Asheville,Fremafn St,NorfpI-.; Han son Place, New York city Ho has been in . his present . oastorate three years. durint which time nearly sev en hundred members have been added to the church and $72,000 collected for various church purposes. Among other things a debt of $16,000 was provided for, which reminds us that Dr. Vines first came into prominence as a church financier years ago by raising a $20,000 debt against the Asheville ; church m a week s time.
