The latest dispatch states that the Italians aided by American aviators captured 45,000 Austrians and that the whole Austrian army is retreating in disorder, the Italians in hot pursuit. Varser is chairman, wants a patriotic rally held in every township in the coun ty Friday evening. That is the day on which the people of Robeson ars expected to round up pledges to purchase War Savings stamps to the amount of $1,063,986. Robeson cannot afford to disappoint the State, the Nation, and the bovs "over there" by failing to sub scribe the full amount asked. Mr. Gough spoke on the same subject at Oak dale, near Marietta, yesterday afer noon and after the address a branch of the Red Cross was organized with 62 members. The Lumberton male quartet, composed of Messrs. C. B. Skipper, E. B. Freeman, J. P. Steph ens and Gough, furnished music at Oakdale u..uo';r,oQ in Charlotte for a num- ber of years and now has a 10-horse farm 4 miles from Charlotte.
