"About three years ago when I vas suffering from a severe cold on my lungs and coughed most of the time night and clay, I tried a bottle of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy and was surprised at promptness with w'hich it gave me relief," writes Mrs. James Brown, Clark Mills, N .Y. Many an other has been surprised and pleased with the prompt relief afforded by this remedy. Sold in Liquid and Tablet Form The Name "Glide's" the Guide to Genuine Pepto-Mangan. A serious illness such as influenza or other infectious disease always leaves the body with low vitality, lack of strength, and impoverished blood. Gude's Pepto-Mangan aids conval escents to a quick recovery, for it creates a generous supply of rich, red blood and restores the body to its normal, healthy condition. That's why physicians recommend PeDto-Mangan, for they know that Hi imparts to the blood the maerial so, sorely needed by weak, run-down sys-j terns. I Pale, sallow, thin, easily-exhausted men and women find that Pepto-Man-j gan builds them up wonderfully. A new supply of rich, red blood is cre ated, which in turn imparts the glow of health to the cheecks, increases the appetite, the eyes sparkle, thef entire system takes a new lease on life. Pepto-Mangan is obtainable in li quid or tablet form, whichever proves most convenient. Both forms possess identical medicinal qualities. There is but one genuine Pepto Mangan and that is "Gude's." Ask vour druggist for "Gude's" and look for the name "Gude's" on the pack age. If it is not there, it is not Pepto-Mangan. T. B. Eldridge Named Mayor of Ra leigh. ' T. B. A Barrel of Potatoes; Value $40. Laurinburg Exchange A man delivered a barrel of sweet potatoes at the local express office Monday for shipment to a point in Missouri. The agent asked him the estimated value of his package and he placed it at $40.00, which is some price for the tubers. The barrel was an ordinary 196-lb. flour affair, and counting the ,'taters" as good-sized fellows they would average from 25 to 50 cents each. But the agent says since they are going to Missouri, he is right from the Middle of the state of mules and refuses to believe it. Do you? Methodist Preacher Assists in Cap ture of Blockader.
