Made with Occo-nee-chee Self-Rising
Flour, biscuits, waffles and hot
cakes fairly melt in your mouth.
This flour is easy to use because it
contains baking-powder, soda and salt
in exact proportions to insure perfect
baking. Occo-nee-chee is also very
economical since the extra ingredients
are already in it, because they cost less
than when bought separately.
It takes but a few seconds to mix .
Occo-nee-chee with water or milk and
a few minutes more for baking.

SEEN AND HEARD
(BY HAPPY JACK)
Perhaps no one line of business was
affected' by the rdop' of price of
cotton to any greater extent than
that of matrimony. It's awful to
glance at the marriage license book in
th office of Register of Deeds. M. W.
FTmyd and note the "drop" in business.
And,, the drop came so suddenly. Dur
ing the month of September Mr. Floyd
enjoyed a rushing business in 4 this
particular line and then all at once
it was practically- over. Since that
in
time "very few have "taken wife"
"the State of Robeson."
Speaking of marrying when times
are hard, one man expressed himself
in favor of marrying at a time like
which we are now passing through.
It was his opinion that it would be
better to "launch out" when the mad
am could not expect so much of hubby
than to make the beginning when
prosperity was abroad in the land and
then have to "go back." It's true
that there are two sides to every
question.

And little Johnnie had gone to bed
With dreams of Santa and of toys
For little girls and little boys.
He saw a drum and a beating stick,
And a Teddy Bear that walked and
squeaked,
A cannon and some soldiers, too,
That were made of tin, and painted
blue.

A great big doll for sister Lou,
With rosey cheeks and eyes of blue,
And a ball for baby, with a rattler
For Santa remembers everyone.
A nice big rug for mamma's room,
And pair of slippers for dear old dad,
A great big coat for sister Bess
CausA she's wanted on for a year or
less.
And oh! such a host of things to eat,
Till little Johnnie just couldn't sleep.
And was up next morning at break of
day,
To see if Santa had been his way.
And oh! such a sight you never saw
For there in the earner standing:
Was a beautiful tree all laden with
toys
For good little Johnnie and Bess and
Lou
So now, dear children, do not tease.
But go to bed soon on Christmas Eve,
And Santa will come, with, his rein
deer sleigh
And fill your stocking or. Christmas
