"Beauty and simplicity were the
keynotes at, the marriage,; of. Miss
Mary Virginia Smith, daughter- of
Mr. and. Mrs. W. H. Smith, of Mul
lins, to Raymond Luther Rowan, of
Lumberton. N. C. which was solem-
kized at 5 o'clock Wednssday. after
noon, at the home of the bride's 'par
ents, the Rev. S. I Naff, pastor of
the bride, officiating. The horns was
beautifully decorated for the occasion
in color-schemes of green, -pink and
white, with tastefully 1 displays ' of
shasta daisies,' ferns and pot plants.
In the parlor where the 7 ceremony
was performed,' an arch was arranged

There were 18 additions to the Hoir
Swamp Baptist church during a re
vival meeting which closed yesterday.
