L ^ Recorder's Court Some Young Men Find Celebrating With Fireworks Pretty Expensive Other Cases. Celebrating the holidays by violate ing the town ordinance which prohi bits the firing of fire-crackers and other fhreworks in the town caused several young men to be taxed with the costs in Recorder W. B. Ivey's court Thursday.; These Wens Messrs. Alfred Bell, Jame^ Cutter, James Regan, David Bryant and Eugene Robbins. Waiter Johnson was fined $10 and costs Friday for violat ing the same ordinance Thursday night. Other cases disposed of since the last report were: Alex. Theodor had judgment sus pended upon payment of costs for be ing drunk. Albert Bethea, colored, was sent to the roads for 60 days for transport ing whiskey and 30 days for possess ing whiskey. The automobile in which the liquor was transported was ordered released upon payment of a fine of $20Q, it being shown that the owner was an innocent party. Prentice MeNeill, colored, paid a fine of $25 and costs for carrying a concealed weapon, to-wit, a razor. He also was taxed with the costs on a charge of be^ng drunk and disorderly. Willie Meares was fined $5 and costs for being drunk. Walter McDougaid was taxel wit* the costs for being disorderly. Quarterly Conferences. Rev. J. H Shore, presiding ehLi the Rockingham district, preached yesterday at the Methodist church at Fairmont, where Saturday he held quarterly conference for Robeson cir cuit, Rev. N. B. Johnson pastor. Mr. Sharp held quarterly conference Fri day at East Lumberton for Lumber ton circuit, Rev. N. L. Seabolt pastor. Don't Risk Neglect. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan M'White cele I brate Golden Wedding Anniversary Correspondence of The Robesonian. ^ i Wednesday, December 19, was a great day for Mr. and Mrs. Duncan M'White. This being their golden wedding anniversary, more than a hundred of their relatives and friends gathered at their home near Barkers church and epjoyed with them a real wedding feast. The party began ar riving about ten o'clock and continued to cqhae until 1:30 p'&lock when a large Stable was spreaH in the yard and tge feast begad. The table was loaded with almost everything you could-^mention to eat. Barbecue was [served, picnic boskets were brought by the friends and neighbors, and for an hour we ate and conversed togeth er. The department's announcement said that the department of justice "has assured the state department of the authenticity of those instruc tions."
