REGENT SLUMP JN COTTON
NOT DUE TO CO-OP SALES,
Raleigh, Feb. 22—Reports from
New York that the recent slump in
cotton prices was due in part to the
heavy selling by thy North Carolina
Cotton Growers association are de
deciared to be without basis in fact
by U. B. Blalock, genera) manager
oi the association.
Air. Blalock says the association
is adhering to its policy of orderly
tales. and that it is under no ne
cessity of dumping cotton on the
r.arket and has not done so. He in
dicated t'nst night that no sales are
now being made, as he said the as
sociation is well ahead of its an
nounced schedule of monthly sales.
Two advances have already been
made to members of the association,
he explained, and enough cotton hag
already been sold to permit another
advance to be made in the spring and
preparations are now under way for
getting that out at the proper time.

Eternal Rest. The loved ones left
have our deepest and tendcrest syrm
pathy on account of the sting of sepa
ration. This, however, will not be
remembered when the re-union takes
place on the glory shore. That is
sure to take place at the Lord's ap
pointed time; because the loved ones!
