Death of Gxn. Joe Johnston's
Nurse. The Kno-xviHc Press saya :
On Monday last there died in this city,
an old iiegreas, named Judy Paxton, who.
when a yoong woman, living in Abigdon,
a., nursed the embryo hero, Joe John
ston, while the General was yet in hit
swaddling clothe?, Judy was always
veiy proart ot this eventful portion of her
life, and frequently spoke of "Mars. Joe"
m terms of high appreciation, as a "bless
ed good chile and no mistake. Judy's
funeral was largely attended br the col

was a great favorite."
