At a meeting of the citizens of the town of Salisbury held at Meroney's Hall, 13th April. On motion Mr. J. J. Bmner was made chairman, on taking the chair Mr. Br- explained the object of. the meeting to be for the benefit of the town. On motion W. H. Overpian and J. A. Hedrick were made secetarics. Dr. Keen addressed the meeting in an interesting speech in relation to the dis crimination made by railroads in tariffs to this place.
