Miller, who represented Davie several times in the Legislature, and at one time published the Rowaii Whig and Western Advocate in Salisbury. M. E. that county ever had. In the Fall of 1869 Mr. B. lost his eyesight, and early tnereaner removed to Statesville, and had resided with his son-in-law, Judge Furches, till the close of his eventful life. MeKoy, that occurred yesterday morning at Clinton, at 6 Oniv n few davs aero it was an- nounced that he had been compelled to .submit to a surgical operation and had re turned to his home, being unable to hold Onslow Court, but it was not apprehend A thnt. his sickness Was mortal or even that he was in immediate danger. He served a short while in the war, with the rank of Colonel. In 1874 he was elected a Circuit Judge, and he was serving a second term :it his death. He was a strict commum- hearted and kind, his life was a model for the friends he has left behind, and a pattern for all.
