While therei two oi the colored men, Wash Luckey uud Ans Allison got into a quarrel which lasted mdil Allison became so enraged that he walked out at the door, picked up a rock, walked back and threw it violently into the mouth of his antagon ist, which almost knocked him senseless for a time. The rock not tin ding suffi cient accommodation, in the mouth of Luckey, glanced and struck a girl by the nama of Bett Wilson, inflicting a slight wound upon her head. No serious dam age, however, was done. Allison ab Kconded: Luckey came off minus one tooth, with a holey lip and no desire at present to kiss. The cause of this was whiskey. Rev. C. Plvler, of Salisbury, has just closed a three mouths school at Summer Ville, Scotch Irish township. Mr. Plyler is a teacher of extraordinary qualilica tioris. He worked early and late, work ed bard and has" accomplished much. The patrons of the school say Mr. Plyler has advanced the scholars more than any other teacher that has ever taught at Summerville; and they will cheerfully recommend him to any other communi ty where a first class teacher is wanted. The eyes are sunken, the hands and feet become cold and clammy. There is a giddiness, a sort of whirl ing sensation in the head when rising up suddenly. The bow els become costive; the skin is dry and hot at times ; the blood becomes thick and stagnant; the whites of the eyes become tinged with yellow; the urine is scanty and high colored, de positing a sediment after stand ing. Thoro is frequently a spitting up of the food, some times with a sour taste and sometimes with a sweetish taste; this is frequently at tended with palpitation of the heart; the vision becomes im paired, with spots before the eyes; there is a feeling of great prostration and weakness. All of these symptoms are in turn present It is thought that nearly one-third of our popu lation has this disease in some oi its varied forms. It has been found that phy sicians have mistaken the cause of this disease. Some have treated it for a liver complaint, others for kidney disease, etc, etc., but noiie of these kinds of treatment have been attended with success: for it is really constipation and dyspepsia. It is also found that Shaker Ex tract of Roots, or Mother Sei gel's Curative Syrup, when properly prepared will remove this disease in all its stages.
