Wednesday morning Mrs. M. L, Chuun received a telegram from Colorado aunouncing the death of her grandson, Edgar Allison, in a wreck at urango, Col. Mr. Allison was the son of U. S. Marshal Allison, Statesville, and was about 25 years old. He lived the greater part of 1903 and 1904. in Salisbury while acting as mail agent .on the Weste n road, when he received injuries which it ws thought would incapacitate him for such work. He then began to read medicine, and in January last went to Colorado, where it was State Pharmaclsst It is somewhat singular that the vaunting blast from the Ram's Horn about North Carolina's su perior public morality had not yet ceased to reverberate in the State before up pops the grinning skele ton 6f official corruption in several sections of the commonwealth. It is now in order for the Ram's Horn to tune itself to another lay trom that of self-praise namely, one of mourning over the depart ure of that superior morality we never had. Population and oppor tunity considered, North Carolina may be as corrupt as her sister The State is full of petty and fit himself for the practice of medicine. His brother William, residing in Chicago, went after the remains, which will be interred at States ville. i States. ! - . 1 I ilUKB, VY LIU I UU tnougni ne wuum pretty much to suit their own will and sensible people know what that is.
