Mrs. Weddington was brought here a few days before for treat ment but it was an useless task as there was no hope of her recovery. She was a wife of only one year and a mother of only jtwo weeks. Her remains were shipped t' Con cord Saturday where the inter ment took place, Maunby, The six-months old child of Mr. and Mrs. Sidnev Mauney, who have been living at Old Fort for the past two years, died here Monday night, shortly after reaching Salisbury. The child had pneumouia and was brought here for treatment, but too late. The remains were taken to Gold Hill, Mr. Mauney's old home, where the interment will take place to-day, Gbubb, Cbameb'. This is the young man who was so badlv in jured between some cars, at Spen cer Saturday one week ago. From J the time he was injured theM was no hopes of his recovery, but he lingered till Wednesday morning when hettied. Mr. Grub was just 17 years of age and an orphan. He was a young man of many good traits and though he had been at the shops only a short time, he had made ,many warm friends, who with his relatives will learn with sorrow of his untimely end.
