The new organ for the new Pres byterian church has arrived. It is - the finest and handsomest reed organ in the State. At the beautiful home of W. G. "Allen near Smith Grove on Tues day uight March 1st, 1906, W. B. Allen and Miss Lucrt'tia Allen ex pressed their mutually plighted faith and Rev. C. S, Cashwell sealed their marriage vows. David Ratledgej of Calahau,died at his residence Wednesday morning March 7th aged 72 years. Mr. Ratledge was a good citizen and a thrifty farmer. His re mains were laid to rest at Hickory Grove Church today. Some, party or parties broke into the store of B. R. Steeleman at Holman Tuesday night and stole a number of suits of clothing anda a lot of pocket knives, ! razors etc. They ought and should be caught it seems to us. i Married at Cooleeniee on Tues day of this week Burwell Leonard to Millie Stewart and on Wednes day in the same r town Thomas White to Mary Chaffin. On Sun day at the same place Frank Wel man to Celia Smith Mrs. W. A. Boger of Smith Grove died Monday at her resi dence. She leaves a husband and six children to mourn her loss. If The Voting Has Started. Although our subscription prop osition is meeting with tur expec tations, the voting on the sewing machine to be given av, ay has not made much headway, although there are several thousand votes in the-hands of the subscribers. We suppose they are trying to de cide for whom they will .vote. So far there has been only one voted' fox, sh6 has received 270 votes and herjname is Mrs. Mary E. C. Holshouser, of Rockwell, a very worthy lady. Since putting the above in type 75 votes have been cast for j&iss Annie J. Good man,, Salisbury, route 3, also 300 for Mrs. ViolajMiller, of Rockwell.
