It is a sweet toned bell and was donated by Thos. Gaither, of Charlotte. Mrs. O. P. Stroud died last Thursday at her residence near County, Line aftr a protracted illness at an advanced age. Johhn Fry died Tuesday night at his residence in Calahaln town ship, in his 58rd year, after a short illness, the remains were interred in Winston today. Drs. Kimbrough and Rodwell assisted by Dr. Byerly, of Coolee mee amputated the right leg above the knee of a young man Rouse, in the Western part of town Fri day.
