Much Sickness at Newbern.
. There is a siege of sickness in
Newbern and a number of cases
of dipatheria. The latter malady,
however, does not alarm the peo
ple nor the phvsicians. There
has been but one death, and all
patients are said to have been
thoroughly treated with anti
toxin. The most of the sickness
is of a ma arial order and chills
and fever seems to claim at least
one victim in each family." Phy
sicians and druggists say they
have not seen such a sickly time
for many years. Much illness
has made a serious difference in
the stores and offices on account
of clerical help, in some instances
three or four clerks were laid up
at ore time. Newbern special to

Gents : I have been using the Vulcan Plow for ten years and in
that time have never broken a point. It sheds all soils better than
any plow I have ever used. Much easier on man and horse. I am
glad you have the agency as I could not get the points and rather
than give it up for any other plow would send off for the points.
