Hope we will soon have a good road to Salisbury. Well, Mr. Editor, I see in youi good old paper that the Republi cans have made big gains in the recent election, while the Demo crats lost; good. C. Albright, who .lives in Salinbury, and Ed. Sif ford, of the old Manning P. O. place, are going to sell their land. Last week we had quite a snow but the boys did not do much in rabbit hunting. Many farmers are bothered a great deal with weevil in their wheat, ihe weevil are grinding it up. The school house is about com pleted and school has been going on one week. The North Carolina Primary Teachers' Association, which was in session bere last week, adjourn ed Friday afternoon.
