Granite work is getting ' better here. Peeler, Bame & Co., has just received an order for six car loads of fine street curbing? rom Vir- ginia and have men at work on it. J. L. Bhuping has gone to the Union church settlement to run a granite quarry. Mr. Holler and family have moved back to Faith from Ores cent. He, has had his residence made into a two-story building P. A. Peeler was the contractor. Samuel Fraley has been con fined to his bed for the past few days. We visited Fred McCanless' granite works recently and found a large fine quarry wich a lot of air drills, large steam derrioks and a lot of men making blocks. A great deal of granite work is now coming in on the granite belt and the quarry men have many or ders to fill. J. T. Wyatt has just received two orders from Virginia One if for four thousand feet of street curbing, and the other is for sixty-two door and window sills. Robert Stirewalt has rented the large two story residence of John McNairy, together with the store house, and has moved in it. He will run a boarding house ana a store.
