Keep Within a Mile of a Cra's Tail. I predict for the farmers during the next,-ten years, a period of unmatched prosperity. The enor mous output of gold has depreci ated that metal 30 per cent since 1896. By this, I mean it takes 80 per cent less of the forty five products of our industrial life to buy ten dollars of gold than in 1885. Moreover, we have learned so rapidly to this time the sober ing lesson of farm life that a youth, born and reared upon a farm should resolve never to go more than one mile from a cow's tail.
