home from a stroke of paralysis.

week's illneB of pneumonia . ; Mr.
Sparnell came to this county from
England and looated at .Gold
Hill, in the days of (that ,towh's
boom as a, mining town. Faith
ful in .the' discharge of . his. du
ties, he was prompted to the . stf-
perintendenoy of the mines. And
had been a resident of that town
for many years Mr.Sparnell
was about 75 years old and his
loss is felt by a, host of relations
and friends.
