Let per sonal differences cease and let good will toward all our fellows reign. SALISBURY AND ROWAN DRY. Old North State Giles an Overwhelming Majority for Prohibition. The election passed off quietly in this county yesterday. Both sides worked strenuously but there was no trouble of any kind. Rowan's majority AQQ for Prohibition DyT With returns from 86 counties of the 98 counties the result shows 70 counties gave majorities for prohibition while 16 gave majori ties against. The .net majority for prohibition from these coun ties is 48,000. Cabarrus, Iredell, Dayieand Davidson went dry by good majorities while Stanly gave a wet majority of J 66. The election went off in an orderly - manner here, although interest was at fever heat. Sev eral parties, however, who were under the influence of whiskey were not aB orderly as they might have been. This morning G. M. Bailey, proprietor of a saloon, at tacked the Freeman brothers, managers of the Pepsi-Cola plant. He drew his pistol and fired, but did not harm. Mr. Freeman then strnck Mr. Bailey. Sheriff Krider arrestedsBailay and a prelimi nary trial was held before JEsq. Joe Keslei.
