vailed over our section and will
revive the growing crops which
were needing rain badly. All the
streams overflowed their banks
and some little damage was done
to bottom land. The old Yadkin
river was making its way through
the low bottoms and did some
little damage in our section to
corn and wheat.
The strawberry crop is plentiful
this' season. Jas. G. Arey has the
largest one I have seen. He has
t hem as large as guinea eggs. -The
wild crop is fine and larger than
for some years . A

ed from the scarlet fever. Their
cases were in a light form.
