Cook was solved last night , He is iu Scot land, preparing for a trip to Etah, whence he plans to bring Dae his records of the discovery of the Ncrth pole and his instruments which are cached there. He also intends to bring back the two Eskimos who accompanipd him on his dash to the pole, and with them an interterpreter in the person of the Eskimo boy, Mene. who recently returned to Etab from New York. Dr. Cook's -objective point, when he shall have recovered his records and instruments, will be Copenhagen. There he will sub mit his compiled proofs to the scientific nodv before which he appeared when he first returned from the far North. After that he plans to return to New York to face his detractors and prove beyond doubt that he was only the first, but the only ooverer of the pole. It is expect ed that he will reach Copenhagen about the first of October and New York perhaps a month later The staunchest supporter Dr Cook has in New York is Captain Bradlev S. Osbon, of the Arctio Club of America. No man has been closer to th9 doctor since the beginning of the now famous Cook Peary controverjy, and he is one of the few men who has been in communication with the explorer since he disappeared . Captain Osbon last night would not commit himself to a flat con firmation of the foregoing state gulling embraces to bring disaster the community. That Philadelphia strike brought no material benefit to any single human being; but it brought sorrow and disaster to thousands. It es tablished anarchy and miU tary rule where there bad been order and peace, inere were arson and murder, and society was between the mob on the one side and the mili tary on the other. What was it all about? Only a little thing of wage, that the ordinary exercise of the plainest precepts of com mon justice could have com posed in 15 minutes. There is one sublime truth that this country has yet to learn, and that is this: Capital and labor are partners, and they should be, and must be, friends. The efforts to treat and debauch the man hood of the county seemed to be the the thing most to be desired then, and as this man Boyden is the samelas of old, if not worse, will try the same tactics this year.
