that her sister died at her home

to J. F. Wyatt some rich gold
nuggets and some pure melted
gold to take to the fairs this fall .
Peeler & Lyerly hauled two
large granito blocks from Faith to
the railroad this week.' They
measured 6 feet 5 inches loDg by
5 feet 10 inches wide and 20
incheB thiok, 62 cubic feet in
each block. The granite weighs
165 lbs. to the cubic foot. What
will one block weigh? There were
eight horses to the wagon.

this morning with State Councilor
W. Ben Goodwin of Elizabeth
City presiding. There were be

sessions. - The first meeting was

greater portion of tonight's ses
sion was taken up with election
