Venus notioes in the Rowan Record where a young man went to jsee his girl and when he went home he forgot his mule and had to walk back and get it. A young man down below Faith went to see his girl and while he was talk ing to her some one changed his buggy wheels, put the hind ones in front and the front ones behind, aud it was several days before he found it out. He went to church one -Sunday and discovered the change. This was told to Venus by the boys some time ago. Young lady at John Beck'B Sep tember 1st. - , . , , i J . Wyat6, who has been ship ing thousands of feet of street curbing every year regularly for many years, says the war must have something to do with the curb business as there is only about hslf as many orders coming to the contractu as on other years. Ve ins has just received a nioe letter from a Lutheran ministes at Greenville, S. C, who says he worked with the Watchman 24 years ago when we brought up items from Faith and he had the privilege of printing them and that he had followed our interest ing letters ever since to see Faith grow. He tells us of a large ohest nut tree much larger than the one we had found. It was twenty eight feet around 15 or 20 years ago when he -measured it and it stands on the farm of his auoei tori below Rick well. We are go ing to get the picture of it soon.
