John Earnhardt of Rockwell, has been called into service of the medical reserve of the IL S. A. At a recent meeting the Coun cil of Organ church decided that from now on that services there would be held at the hour "of 11 a m, standard time, as this ser vice had not been changed from the old time to the new, it was thought best to do so, beginning next Sunday when services will be held by Rev Cooper of China Grove. Sunday school at 9:30 and preaching at 11 a. in. Quite a large lot of lumber. cross ties, spoke-wood, etc., is shipped from Rockwell each year. Quite a number of young Cmen of this vicinity have beed called to report for army service.? There seems to be an epidem ic of measles in this vicinity.
