Patterson Grange met Saturday night with good attendance. The lec turer, Mrs. W. W. Yost, put on an interesting program consisting of songs, readings, and games. After the program the refreshment committee served ice cream to the enjoyment of every one present. Mrs. H. W. Houck and little daugh ter spent a few days last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. McCorkle. The Pineywood ball team is being reorganized. They will soon be ready for action. Mrs. W. J. McCorkle spent last week-end with her son, Mr. Floyd Mc Corkle, in China Grove. The friends of Miss Bertie Smith will be glad to learn that she is able to attend school after being ill with a cold.
