AN UNSOLVED RIDDLE
I profoundly believe in farm group

easily the prey of organized big

The success of a farm co-opera
tive is based on the co-operative
spirit and the co-operative virtues
namely, (1) sagacity, (2) faith in
one’s fellows, (3) willing subordi
nation to self-chosen authority. (4)
a hense of morafl obligation | (5)
group loyalty, and (6) unbeatable
courage. The virtues of co-opera'
tion are the virtues of enduring de
mocracy. And more, they are spin'
tual virtues, every one of them, and
without them there can be no mem
bership-in-one-'hody* which was St.
Paul’s ideal.
Success depends upon all of these
virtues. Anything less than all of
them invites failure- With them all,
success is centain.
The plan' of organization of the
proposed tobacco co-operatives in
North Carolina is distinctly an ad
vance upon the organization, princi
ples, and details of the Tri'State To

of the tenant farmer and h s crop is
still an unsolved riddle, but this
problem ought not to be forever a
hindrance to farm co-operation in
the South-—E. C. Branson.

And Got Rid of
Pain In Her Side
."Last summer, my health was bad,
so I began taking Cardui,” writes
Mrs. H. E. Slaughter, of Norman,
Okla. “My mother had given me
Cardui in girlhood, so naturally I
turned to it when I felt I needed
it. I felt run-down and a general
weakness. I had bad, dizzy head
aches when everything would seem
to dance before my eyes. My right
side pained me so much, but since
taking Cardui the pain has left
me. I have taken several bottles
of Cardpi and have improved a
great deal.”
