Buried Gold
Reaches Bank
In Old Hat
Somerset, Pa.—A man walked
into a bank here carrying an old
hat, which appeared to be filled
with something heavy. He laid
his load on the counter and said:
"I want to deposit some mon
ey.”
The contents of the hat were
emptied and when the banker had
finished counting he had piles of
gold coins aggregating over $2,
000 in value.
The gold pieces had lost their
polish as if they had been buried
in the ground.
The man admitted that the
money had been buried1 in the
ground under his home for seven
years.
