Mr. Olmem explains his labor are being "scientifically historical.’ "I started in on election night 1932,” he said to a Washingtor Star man, "and since that date 1 nave accumulated mountains oj material. I clip 170 newspaper and magazines a day, and I sori out the clippings in 36 differem classifications based on the plat form ranks of the Democrats party. In this way I keep trad of Mr. Roosevelt’s promises anc performances. I know most of hi: speeches by heart and have ne trouble remembering what he ha: said from his nomination up t< the present time. I have his idea: catalouged in my mind, and I ar range by data accordingly. But he de clares: “Association with the Democrats made me a Republican. Back in 1916 I used to argue with Victor Roseswater about politics, and he was just as hot on the one side as I was on the other. But now I' am just as good a Republi can as he is.” A native of Duluth, Minn., Mr Olmem is a printer by trade and has been helping to make news papers ever since his boyhood.
