NOTICE EXTRACTS FROM MINUTES OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZ ING THE ISSUANCE OF $18, 000 OF BONDS OF THE TOWN OF SPENCER TO REFUND OUTSTANDING BONDS. _ BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Spencer, as follows: Section 1. That Board of Aider men of the Town of Spencer has ascertained and determined, and does hereby declare, that the fol lowing bonds of said Town have heretofore been issued by said Town and are now outstanding, viz.: $18,000 School Bonds, dated June 1, 1926, payable, three $1, 000 bonds on June 1st in each of the years 1933 to 1938, inclusive, and bearing interest at the rate of five and one-quarter per centum ($ 1-4%) per annum, payable semi-annually, and that said bonds were issued on or about their re spective dates, and that said Town received in payment therefor not less than the face amount %f said bonds, and that all sums received in payment for said bonds have been applied to the payment of the cost of constructing, reconstruct ing, altering or enlarging school buildings, or acquiring for improv ing lands for school purposes, and that no part of the principal of any of said bonds has been paid, and that alj of said bonds are valid and binding obligations of said Town. Section 2. For the purpose of refunding the debt evidenced by said bonds, there shall be issued, 1 pursuant to The Municipal Finance ! Act, 1921, of North Carolina, as * amended, bonds of the Town 'of J Spencer of an aggragate principal ‘ amount which shall not exceed " Eighteen Thousand Dollars ($18,- a 000). 1 Section j. In any case where the debt evidenced by any of said out standing bonds is not payable at the time of the passage k>f this or dinance, or will not be payable within one year thereafter, no bonds shall be issued pursuant to this ordinance to refund said debt unless said debt is cancelled sim ultaneously with the issuance of the bonds issued pursuant to this ordinance to refund said debt. Section 4. A statement of the debt of the Town of Spencer has been filed with the Town Clerk as required by law, and is open to public inspection. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, and shall not be submitted tb the voters of the Town of Spencer.” The foregoing ordinance was passed on the 10th day June, 1936, and was first published on the 19th day of June, 1936. "AN ORDINANCE AUTHOR IZING THE ISSUANCE OF $39, 000 OF BONDS OF THE TOWN OF SPENCER TO REFUND OUTSTANDING BONDS. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Spencer, as follows: Section 1. The Board of Aider men of the Town of Spencer has ascertained and determined, and does hereby declare that the fol lowing bonds of said Town have heretofore been issued by said Town and are now outstanding, viz.: (1) $32,000 Street Improve ment Bonds, dated July 1, 1923, payable, eight $1,000 bonds Ion July 1st in each of the years 1934 to 1937, inclusive, and bearing in terest at the rate f said Town. Section 2. For the purpose of refunding the debt evidenced by said bonds, there shall be issued, .pursuant to The Municipal Finance | Act, 1921, of North Carolina, as .amended, bbnds of the Town of Spencer of an aggregate principal amount which shaljl not exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30, 000). Section 3. In any case where the debt evidenced by any of said outstanding bonds is not payable at the time of the passage of this ordinance, or will nfct be payable within one year thereafter, no bonds shall be issued pursuant to this or dinance to refund said debt unless said debt is cancelled simultaneous ly with the issuance of the bonds issued pursuant to this ordinance to refund said debt. The Bbard of Alder-: men of the Town of Spencer has ascertained and determined, and does hereby declare, that the fol lowing bonds of the Town have heretofore been issued by said Town and are now butstanding, viz.: $27,000 Public Improvement Bonds, dated September 1, 1926, payable, one $1,000 bond on Sep tember 1, 1932, seven $1,000 bonds on September 1, 1934, five . $1,000 bonds on September 1, 1935, and seven $1,000 bonds on Sep tember 1st in each of the years 1936 and 1937, and bearing inter 1 est at the rate of six per centum ;(6%) per annum, payable semi j annually, and that said bonds were | issued on or about their respective I dates, and that said Town received in payment therefor not less than the face amount of said bonds, and j that all sums received in payment ! for said bonds have been applied to ! the payment of the cost of enlarg ing or extending the sewer system of said Town, or enlarging the water supply system of said Town, or improving streets in said Town, and that no part of the principal ! of any of said bbnds has been paid, 1 and that all of said bonds are valid ; and binding obligations of said Town. Section 2.
