It seems almost nnnecessory for us to call attention to a paper so well and favorably known as the Youth's Covipanion, of Boston. It has been tor fifty -eight years a weekly visitor, and each year has Bhown more clearly its wonderful useful nes to tho class of readers for whom it is prepared. It would be interesting to trace its influence in the case of two fam ilies, one of which began, we will suppose, twenty years ago, to pro vide it for their children to read, while tho other furnished the more sensational publications. The con trast would no doubt prove a strik ing one. Parents can give their children few things of more value and im portance in their growth of mind and of character than a wide-awake, intelligent, wholesome paper into whose management the -publishers put conscience and moral purpose NEW YORK HERALD.
