Wilmington, N. C. 21 tf PKt)1.PE(TlS OK THE DAILY JOl'KSAL. . The Sabseribere this day eaiim the putticatioa ia the towa of Wilmington, ef a daily tTcaiag faper by the abora title. It will be issued erery day (ub Ljts eieefted) after the arrival ef the mails, so a t give the Tery latest Utelli faee from all quarters. The puUiher will aLn avail themelres of every additional facility within their reach for the eolleetioa f news. Particular attentioa will be paid to the Commercial depart ment of the paper, and full and accurate reports jivea of the state of our ewa markets, as well aa of all others having aay influence apoa the trade ef this place or teetioa. The growing importance of Wilmington, and the increas ing wants of the mercantile community at large, have seemed to call for and warrant the commencement of this enterprise. North Carolina is almot, if not quite, the only State ia the Union ia which no daily paper is publihed. California, which but yesterday waa a wil JcrncM, has a flourishing daily press, while North Carolina has not one within her borders. K-h should not be the eaae. We believothat we eaa fairly appeal to the State pride, as well as to the interests of oar fellow-citiieas, to sustain us in out present effort to remove this reproach. It ia scarcely necessary to refer to the polities of " The Dai ly JoosaL, as it will be under the same editorial manage ment with the Weekly " Wilmimito Joi bnal, " which pa per will eontinoe to be published on the same terms as for merly, deriving, it is to be hoped, additional interest from the ue of the more exten Jed facilities which the publication of a daily must render necessary. In politics it will support the doetrines of the Democratic party ; yet, while Ann and decided in the assertion and maintenance of its own opinions, will be moderate and respectful toward those who may differ from it. TtKM. The price of "Tut Daily Jdi bnal" will bo six dollars per annum, invariably in adcanrt. The heavy out lay attendant upon the publication of such a paper will ren der a etriet adherence to this rule tmjfrattve. A tri-weekly paper will aUo be issued at four dollars per annum, should a sufficient uuuiber of tri-weekly sub'ribcra be obtained.
