The publihers will also avail themselves if every a l Jitionul facility within their reach for the collection of ttew. Particular attention will be paid to the Commercial depart ment of the fper, and full and accurate report given of the state of our own markets, ai well as of all others having anH influence spon the trade ef this place or aeetion. The growing importance of Wilmington, and the increas ing wants of the mercantile community at large, have seemed to call for and warrant the commencement of this enterprise. North Carolina is almtwt, if not quite, the only State ia the Union in which no daily paper is published. California, which but yesterday wa a wilderness, has a flourishing daily pres, while North Carolina has not one within her border. Such thould not. be the ease. We believe that we can fairly appeal to the State pride, a well as to. the interests of our fellow-citiieus, to sustain u in our present effort to remove this reproach. It is scarcely necessary to refer to the politics of "The Dai ly Jul kal, " as it will b under the same editorial manage ment with the Weekly " Wilmino rix Joi rxal, " which pa lter will continue to bo published on the same term as for merly, deriving, it is to be bip il, additional interest from the U'te of the more cxten led facilities which the publication of a daily must render ncces.Hary. In politic it will support the doctrines of the Democratic party ; yet, while firm and decided in the asscrtioirand maintenance of itsownopiuions, will be moderate and resjcctful towards those who may differ from it. TtKM. The price of "The Daily Joi-rmal" will be sit dollars per annum, invariably in aihamt. The heavy out lay attendunt upou the publication of such a paper will ren der a strict adherence to thi rule mitriitii'e. A tri-weckly paper will nl.so be issued at four dcllars per annum, should a sufficient number of tri-weckly subscribers be obtained. The ' Daily Joi iinal " Is now before the public. The la bor ami outlay which its isauc entails is very considerable, and will requite a generous support to save us from heavy loss In ctarting it, we have relied upon that liberality which lias heretofore been extended to us, and have launched our bulk, determined that it hall sink or swim upon its own merits.
