All persons indebted are earnestly requested to let tie. , , rLEX. llellAE, )u - Oct 14, 1851., . .... ,i.'T J.',U VUG PROPECTt S OP THE DAILY JOt RNAL. The Subscriber this day commence the publication ia the town of Wilmington, of a daily evening paper by th abve title. It will be issued every day (Sunday eieepted) after th arrival of the Baila, o a to give the very latcrt intelli gence from all quarter. Th publisher will also avail themselves of every additional facility within their reach for the collection of bcw. , Particular attcatioa will be paid to Ike Commercial depart Beat of the paper, and full and ace urate report gives of the state of oar owa Boiketa, a well a of all other having any influence opoa the trad of this place or section. The growing importance of Wilmington, and the increas ing want of the mercantile coamunity at large, have teemed to call for and warrant the commencement of this enterprise. North Carolina la alavxt, if aot qoiU the only State ia the Union ia which no daily paper is published. California, which bat yesterday was a wilderness, ha a flourishing daily press, while North Carolina ha not one within her border. Such should not be the case. We believe that we caa fairly appeal to the State pride, a well a to th Interest of our fellow-eitiiens, to sustain us in our pre scut effort to remote this reproach. It is scarcely necessary to refer to the politics of "The Dai i.Y Joi e al, " a it will be under the same editorial maaage ment with the Weekly " Wjuii.votos JottSAL," which pa lter will continue to be published on the same terms a for merly, deriving, it is to be hoped, additional interest from the use of the more extended facilities which the publication of a daily must render necessary. Ia politic it will upport the doctrines of the Democratic party ; yet, while firm and decided in the assertion ainl maintenance of it own opinions, will be moderate and respectful toward those who may differ from it. Terms. The price of " The Pailt Jot ikai, " will be lix dollar per annum, invariably in advanrt. The heavy out lay attendant opoa the publication of such a paper will ren der a strict adherence to this rule imperative. A tri-weekly paper will also be issued at four d liars per annum, should a sufficient number of tri-weekly subscribers be obtained. The 4 Daily Journal " is now before the public. Thela bor and outlay which its issue entails is very considerable, and will requite a generous support to save us from heavy loss. In starting it, we have relied upon that liberality which has heretofore been extended to us, and have launched our bark, determined that it shall sink or swim upon it own merits. FULTON k PRICE.
