I feel it a duty I owe Mr. Jordun to state, that 1 have read tbe letter of bis to Johnson, and I endorse every word of that letter, and it kt useless for Fool to deny the fuels stated. Mr, Fool iu my presence declared time and again, be would not if stlicted vote for any Western measure requiring an appropriation of public money, denounced Mr. Jordanin unmeasured terms lor so doing and held nun up to ridicule, i was me demo cratic candidate that year lor thia county, and Mr. l'ool inquired of m if 1 endorsed Mr.' Jordan's votes. 1 heard all the speeches made iu this county but one and this was Mr. Fool's positiou ia eueb out1. Mr. Jordan called npou us to give our receollection or Fool's counc in tlie canvass with Jordan in 1836. We cheerfully certify that we heard Mr. Fool and Mr. Jordan upon several occasions. And we know the burden of Mr. Fool' speeches was to denounce Mr. Jor dun for tbe Western Rail Road votes; and lor Allegha ny County. Mr. Fool was very, bitter and pledged himself to vote agninst all such measures, u elected. We were both then Old Line Whigs, and voted for Mr. Fool then, and stood by him, and B. J.
