Applications for exemption must, in all cases, ba made to the enrolling Officer of the district; duplicate copies of said application being made in writing, duly Bworn to before an acting Justice of the Peace and bearing tbe Certificate of the Clerk of the Court, giveu nnder the County Seal and aeut through tha Colonel of the regiment. An appeal may be taken from tha decision of the Enrolling Officer to the Commandant of Cot scripts. V. A'l Conscripts engaged on Government works will be enrolled and returned to their said work. VI.
