The paper mill are all run ning on full tin and will continue until navigation cease. CANADA. BURNING OP A ROYAL MAIL STEAMER. - PASSENOERS LOST AND MISSING Toronto, Nor. (5 Night The steamer Bavarian, of the Royal mail line, bound from Hamilton, with six cabin passenger, took fir about 8 o'clock last night, fourteen mile from shore, opposite Oahawa. The fire broke out in the centre of the boat, near the engine room, and till flame spread with great rapidity. The boats were immediately lowered, and on of them went adrift and was lost The passenger and crew got into the other boats, one of which contained nine person, including tb pilot, the ladle' maid and aeren of the crew. The other boat contained thirteen persons, including the first and second mate, purser and two passenger a boy named Jame Clane, a Mr. Parmenter, of Toronto, and fir of i the crew. Both boat reached th ahor safely. There are fourteen person to be ac counted for, including Captain Car miohael, Mr. Fennican, the chief engineer, Wa S pence, the steward, and three lady passenger, Mrs. Bub bard and daughter, of Brock ville ; Miss Ireland, of Kingston, and Mr. Wier, of Chatham. A committee of fire from the meet ing was appointed to confer with the Spraguea. Thurston, Attorney for theSprague. stated that the Sprague' whole object was that the property should be de roted to the payment of the debt and that the trustee appointed should be friendly to the house only so far aa that after the debt are paid the property shall not be dissipated.
