the Chamber of Commerce, as at each
preparationhad been made to receive
them, but tLe lateness of the start ia
the moraine compelled an abandon
ment of this plan, and it was resolved

before adjournnieit. All day long the
brokers had indulged in a general
hat-orufchmg crusade; rushes and haz
ing had bean carried on to the fullest
extent. The King, however, managed
to gain the platform by a side passage
before the brokers were aware of his
arrival. He was received by Mr. Goo.
