The advantages of this Type-writer and Ortiee Desh civer all ot her scxalled Combination Cabinets, jtres Vto0t. The case and simplicity with which the desk is changed from a Library or Office Desk to Type-writer Table. This change is effected br usb Ing the lid covering the machine back in the Ir ol cabinet it being a roller top removing it eplr-elj from sight, thus overcoming the objectionable ooard and sounder in front of the operator. The movable topis perfectly flat, is baue covered, and forms a com plete writing desk when the machine is not in nse. The tableon which the machine rests is so evenly bal. need by our patent adjustments that it needs bnl m Blight touch to bring the machine in position. Seeond, The advanta of the swinging table are;. The table is so balanced near its center on pa ent maleable iron arms, that when the machine brought in place ior nse, it does not depend on mpet or hangers at rear of platform for support, but is held rigidly in place by sts own weight, making It impassi ble for the machine to be tumbled down an inckne in back of do k by the breaking of a rear support. The machine rests on patent slides w hkh keeps the machine in place, and c an be drawn out beyond the desk, well under the operator's hand. Trl. The construction of the lid closing machine space makes it air tight, and the table hav ing felt around its boarders thoroughly protects the machine from dust. Fourth. The foot rest- and the construction of the table adjustments makes the desk as ridged as though the top was one solid board, which is a matter of great importance where a solid type-writing tabic ta required. Ho operator can do good work oa a shaky table. lastly ,Tht cabinet is a splendid piece of cabinet work.
