Neville, a very worthy colored man who has spent the larger part of his life in Halifax, died at his home here last Wednes day morning, July 20th, at five o clock after a lingering illness of some months. He was a quiet, peaceful man and had many friends among the whites. His age was about 60 years. The death of Mrs. Willie Cobb at her home at the J. A. White head place near town, on last Sat urday afternoon, is attended with a great deal of sadness, and there is much sorrow felt by many for the young husband so sorely be reaved. The young couple were married in September, 1909, and had been earnestly striving to build them a home where there was rest, peace and quiet and were con tent in their love for each other, when the death angel came and look her to that world bevond. I None of us can just understand I His ways, only by the light of eter Inity's revealing will we be enabled to comprehend the meaning of His f providences. Tin- Old Mill by tiii; Siiim mfkinu Pond. The bright para grapher of the Greensboro Daily News, whose boyhood days must have been spent amid the sweet pleasures of country life, sings of the memories of the old mill do n by the stream, the shimmering pond, the moss covered wheel and the best bread on earth made from waierground meal. We, too, know of it all, for we have been there. Tiiikty Fi-:i-:t for a Founda tion.
