Raleigh has had an old citizen who, in
consequence of a dream many years ago,
would never pass into a certain portion of
the city. Last summer he was compelled
to go there in pursuance of a summons to
court and has recently died. Some 27
years ago his wife had a similar dream,
but disregarding the warning she passed
the spot and soon after died. .

Let Us Have It. .
The article in yesterday's Review rela
tive to the extension of the street railway
to the Sound, has excited more or less
comment, and has developed the fact of
au a ' .'.lost universal desire for its con
struction. e do not know the cost of
such an undertaking but think that, if the
right kind of roan would undertake it,
the necessary amount of additional
stock could be secured. It has been sug
gested that the latter might be accom
plished by placing the par value of the
shares at a low figure, say at $20 per
share and tliat one-fourth and onehalf
cha res be taken and that there be a provison
by which tlo shares ..may by redeemed
in part or in which, in one or more years,
by fare for travtl over the road.. Tbe
poor people in thii city, one of whom we
are which, would hail with satisfaction
the prospect of so (csirAble a consumma-'

proportion of the stock. A ho will lay
bold of this enterprise and start it going ?
