" They have been playing to large houses ill ' IJaltinuirr, ltichuiouel, reters burg and Norfolk, and we are assured, that the troupe is even stronger than when they last appeared! iu our city. The Baltimore (iazclie, of a recent dTatev says of their appearance in that city; Duprez aud Benedict's minstrels ap peared before a good house at tho Acad emy of Music last night. Their songs were well rendered and their jokes generally ncwv liich is saying much for theaverage iniuslKl budget.' The opening perfor mance .-was followed by a burlesque entitled -'Ilia Black Berry Cavalry' which.- clic'ted roars ; of laughter. This cavalry is modeled after nothing that was ever seen, and though good of its- kind, would scarcely do to j iutroduc ipto our army, j The musical farce of Kobinson Crusoe!' and the act cutitlcd "A Night in a Dissecting, lioom" were funny beyond ! description. There arc some excellent solo singers in the troupe, and the reper toirc is selected with a. view to please the popular taste. Mr. George Edwards, in his "Band-Joc-So-Lows"' is a whole mine of fun,-exploding with startling frequency and astounding effect. Messrs.
