Is the Health Ordinance, a farce ? More than a week I ago I wrote an article stating that in the rear of a resi dence on Market street known as the 'Clifford House" was a long wooden shed in which there was a wet muddy floor covered with a green miasmatic slime, and asked that this vile receptacle of putrid disease be obliterated either by removing the shed or filling in with dry sand. As yet nothing has been done and the danger ous nuisance still exists. Serveral of the officers, including the Superintendant, came arround and made a personal obser vation but as nothing has been done, is it not natural to suppose that they can do nothing? Can it be as has been suggested that as the property belongs to a lawyer he is at liberty to defy the law? Are the champion Shirt in the market.
