Myrtle Grove Oysters.
"You sneak of fine New River Oysters
in yesterday's Review," said Cap t. Jesse
Dicksey, of the Clarender Bar, to us
this morning, '"Now let me show you
what Myrtle Grove can do," he continued,
and thereupon exhibited to us some
specimens of tnose oysters that for size,
flavor and condition aro hrd to beat.
Mvrtle Grove, from whence these oys-
ters comes, is near the neaa ol tne aouna
and only about 10 miles from W ilming-
ton. Some' few feeble attempts have been
made to cultivate them and we are sur
prised that it has not already been made
a regular business. They can be grown
very easily and they thrive wonderfully
with a little care and attention.
Results of a Runaway.
A colored man from the country,
whose name wc could not learn, was
severely injured yesterday, on the old
plank road, about two miles Irom the city,
by the running away oi a muie wuu a
carton which he was seated, lie was
thrown to the ground and the loaded cart
passed over his chest, fracturing a rib and
entailins some severe brueses.
