Editor Review: j I Goldsboro, fire-tried as it has so often been, had another experience of that kind this morning, the storehouse recently oc-; cupied by Mr. vm. Bonitz and known as tho Club House, un the corner of Mam and Chestnut streets, was destroyed by fire this morning, about 4 o'clock. iThe building has beeu liuoccunied since ' Mr. Bonitz removed to hisuew hotel building,! and there is no doubt that the hre was incendiary. There have been a great many colored tramps about town since the holidays, who sometimes have been known to force the doors and sleep there at night, and it is thought by many that some of these, after sleeping there last night, fired the place maliciously this morning. The building belonged to Mr. Wm. Bonitz, and was insured in the Hamburg-feremen, through the agents fn Wilmington, Messrs. Jno. W. Gordon & Bro.. for $8,000, which will about cover its value. Goldsboro is still improving, there being several new buildings in the process of erecfon. The handsomest of these is an im poising brick structure on the west side of Main street, being erected now by 'Mr J. A.' Bonitz, of that staunch old Demo cratic (Bourbon) sheet, the j Goldsboro Messenger, who will remove his ofliie there aa soon as it is completed. Notwithstanding the cry of bard times business here is as goodsis it generally is immediately after the holidays and the Strug's are as full of people, aa ever, i Yours, j !''.,, Josei. ..
