Miss Anderson is sup ported by Mr. John W. Norton, and we have no doubt that the performance will be a most pleasing one. A Beautiful Veisel. The hew irbn British bar-quo Msolute, at now Messrs Alex. Sprunt & Son's Wharf in the . city, is one of the; most beautiful vessels seen hero in many a day, arid is well worth visiting. She was built under the order of Messrs John Grant & Sons, of Leith, upon a model suggested by their agents here, Messrs Alex. Sprunt & Son, and expressly lor thd, Wilmington trade, to carry 1,500 bales :f cotton or 4,00p barrels gi rosin on i, draft of 12 feet of water, j . She presents a verjy hand jsome appearance being lar superior to the (class of vessels Jususally engaged in jour trade, and resembles, in many respects, the beautiful barque iVorM. Carolina so favorable known here. V, fc W. and W.C. &. A. Railroads A statement has been going the rounds in the papers of the State, and copied into the Star bf this city, to the effect that ere is soon to be a change in the manage ment of the W. & W. and W. C. & A. Kailroadsi As made the statement implies that there' is dissatisfacton with the chief officers of these roads. We were assured - . : vesterdav that there is not the shadow of a foundation for this rumor. The officers of these roads, from the President down, are able, efficient and acceptable to tha owners of the property. They have dis charged their duties faithfully and very acceptably to the public at large and the stockholders of these two wisely conducted and well managed roads would not! will ingly exchange their present officers for anv that could be selected to fill their 0 places. Barely ever able ' to leave her'room since her husband has been in charge of this station, and cut off as she necessarily has been from many oi the enjoyments which surrounded ber, she has borne herj sufferings with christian for titude, and when thesummons came it found licr quite ready to lay down the grovious burden which she has so long borne, and purified by affliction, meet to enter npon the enjoyment which awaits her beyond. Mrs. Boshamer was a daughter! of the venerable and revered Rev. Wm. Closs, D D:. of the North Carolina Conference, and in addition to her father and father's family and a devoted husband, leaves a little girl five years of ago to mourn the loss, the full extent of which she is yet too young to fully realize. The remains well be carried, as we aro advised, to Louisburg, Franklin County, for interment, leaving this morning on the C:52 train on the North Carolina Railroad.
